What is Software?

A set of instructions given to the computer to solve problem is called Software.

Software is a single/collection of programs that performs a particular task. 

· It is also called program. 

· Different software are used to solve the problems.

Device Driver:

·         A Device driver is a computer program that operates or controls a particular type of device that is attached to computer, like as printer

Application Software :

·         Application software includes program that do real work for user.

·         Application software is creates to perform specific tasks for user.

·         It is also known as application package.

·         Application software is used to perform various applications on the computer.

Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Lotus 123, Photoshop, Page maker etc.

Customize Software:

Customize software is a software that is specially developed for some specific Organization or other user.

Package Software :

       Package software is a software that is ready-made and available for sale, lease or license to the general public.
